We all know that physical activity is good for your health, studies and general wellbeing. The easiest way to get physical is to incorporate walking into your everyday activities, such as your journey to campus.

The Bay-to-Bay Cycle and Walkway, which runs from Ryde to Botany Bay, passes within 750m of the main gate of our Strathfield Campus.

We run a free shuttle bus between Strathfield Station and the Strathfield Campus. This service runs Monday to Friday all year round, except for Christmas and public holidays.

The shuttle bus leaves from the ‘Kiss and Ride’ stand in Strathfield Square on the south side of Strathfield Station. It has ACU signage.

The shuttle bus stop on campus is located just inside the Barker Road main entry. View our campus map for more details.

The last bus leaves campus at 9.15pm. Buses leave within 1-2 minutes of posted departure times. Times may vary due to traffic conditions.

Riding to work or university is a great way to get fit, save time and money and do your bit to help the environment. Strathfield Council website has a cycling information page.

There are two bike lock-up points on Strathfield Campus:

  • Main campus: Once entering the campus through the main gate on Barker Road, the bike racks are located on the right-hand side of the driveway on the grassed area.
  • Edward Clancy Building: Bike lockers can be found in the rear car park of the Edward Clancy Building, at 163-167 Albert Road. Follow the driveway on the right-hand side of the building around to the rear car park. The bike lockers are directly in front of you as you go down the drive.

Male and female showers are located in the Edward Clancy Building. Proceed to the 2nd floor and, at the top of the stairs, turn left then left again, heading down the hallway. The shower blocks are located in male and female toilet areas on the left-hand side of the hall, approximately halfway down.
