Margaret Balint Award Recipient
Congratulations to Duncan MacLaren who has been awarded the Margaret Balint Award.
The award, which was presented on Friday 17 February by Vice–Chancellor Professor Greg Craven, recognises significant contribution of ACU staff in NSW.
ACU is honoured to recognise Duncan’s work and leadership within the Thai-Burma Refugee Program, the Catholic Alliance for International Development and policy development and implementation for International Human Rights.
Staff celebrate silver jubilee
Staff from the Faculty of Education are this year celebrating 25 years at ACU.
Dr Andrea McDonough, a senior lecturer in mathematics education at the Melbourne Campus, is a member of the Mathematics Learning and Teaching Research Centre and has made key contributions to a number of research projects, with a special focus on mathematics education and primary teaching.
Dr Sandra Carroll, a lecturer at the School of Religious Education at the Strathfield Campus, has published book chapters and journals in the areas of Religious Education and Theology. She was a member of the writing team for the original Melbourne Guidelines for Religious Education and is currently on the Editorial committee of the Journal of Religious Education.
