Australian Catholic University (ACU) held a mass recently to bless the new physiotherapy facilities on the North Sydney Campus.

Bishop Julian Porteous gave the homily and blessed the facilities, and Fr Anthony Casamento delivered a gospel reading.

Head of the School of Physiotherapy, Professor Julie Hides, spoke at the event and said the new facilities at ACU are excellent.

“It’s great to see all the wonderful new purpose-built facilities ACU has provided for the School of Physiotherapy,” she said.

“The University has ensured that our students have access to contemporary, state-of-the-art facilities.”

Associate Vice-Chancellor (Sydney), Professor Marea Nicholson, said it was wonderful to officially bless the facilities for the new course.

“The Bachelor of Physiotherapy was only introduced to the Sydney campus this year, and already it has been a great success,” she said. “It was an honour to have Bishop Julian Porteous bless the facilities.”
