Miss Lisa Robertson, Administrative Officer, School of Business Sydney
How would I spend my ideal day?
My ideal day would start with a breakfast of bacon and eggs, followed by coffee at my favourite cafe, a bushwalk through the Blue Mountains or royal national park then dinner with friends overlooking Sydney Harbour finished off with a glass of wine.
In life I have learnt...
You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. It costs you nothing to smile and good manners are free!
Something that inspires me...
My family and friends, people who manage to triumph over and smile through adversity and keep a positive attitude.
What would surprise most people about my job?
How much time and effort is put into creating the timetable to make sure everyone’s wishes are accommodated.
What has been the most significant development in my field since starting my career?
Being a new comer to ACU, I’m still learning the ropes but am looking forward to making the role my own and implementing ideas to make timetabling more efficient. Watch this space!
If I could invite any five people to dinner, who would they be and why?
Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton (from At The Movies) for their witty repartee
Comedian Adam Hills for his humour and quick wit
Roger Federer for his charm
Actress Kate Winslet for her grace and intelligence
