Exercise science student and gymnast Ashleigh Brennan, one of three Australian Catholic University (ACU) students and a graduate competing at the Commonwealth Games, has won Bronze in the Floor Exercise and Gold in the Team Artistic Gymnastics final alongside her fellow gymnasts Georgia Bonora, Emily Little, Lauren Mitchell and Georgia Wheeler.

Meanwhile, Exercise science student and Paralympic swimmer Andrew Pasterfield took out Silver in the 100m Freestyle; and Exercise science student Sarah Katsoulis took home Bronze in the 200m Breaststroke.

Grant Nel (Diving) and Rachel Lynch (Hockey), recent graduates of ACU, have also performed well with Grant collecting a Bronze medal in the three-meter Springboard; while Rachel is still celebrating her Gold medal performance in the thrilling final against New Zealand last night. With the score locked at two all, the Hockeyroos won the match in a penalty shoot-out.

On behalf of the ACU community, we congratulate Andrew, Ashleigh, Grant, Rachel and Sarah on their achievements and wish them a safe journey home.
