Professor Scott Prasser
Professor Scott Prasser, Foundation Executive Director of ACU's Public Policy Institute, has been elected as a Councillor (ACT Division) to The Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA).
The IPAA is the only Professional Association in Australia that provides a focal point for all three sectors of government - Commonwealth, State and Local.
It is a voluntary, non-profit, member organisation which enables those with an interest in public administration and public sector reform to exchange ideas on trends, practices and innovations in public administration. The Institute seeks to promote good governance and excellence in the provision of public services in Australia.
ACU's Institute of Public Policy will be launched on October 14 in Canberra.
Professor Anthony Kelly CSsR, has been appointed as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Catholic Identity and Mission.
Professor Kelly has a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Angelicum (Rome) and a Doctorate in Theology from the Anselmianum (Rome). He has held numerous positions at the University including inaugural Professorial Fellow; Professor of Theology and Head of the Sub-Faculty of Philosophy and Theology.
Professor Kelly has published widely in systematic theology, moral theology, philosophy, Catholic identity and interdisciplinary studies. He has successfully supervised many doctoral students and was the recipient of the University Excellence in Research Supervision Award in 2009. He has been a member of the International Theological Commission (ITC) since 2004 and has recently been re-appointed to the ITC by Pope Benedict for a further five year term.
Professor Kelly commenced his duties on 1 September and is based at the Canberra Campus.
