Wayne Hochwarter to join ACU as Professorial Fellow

The Peter Faber Business School is delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Wayne Hochwarter as Professorial Fellow at the Centre for Sustainable Human Resource Management (HRM) and Wellbeing.

Professor Hochwarter takes up his position on 1 October 2016 and will be based at ACU’s Melbourne Campus when in Australia. He is currently the Jim Moran Professor of Management at Florida State University and a leading international authority in the organisational behaviour research arena, with more than 100 scientific and applied articles to his credit. His work covers a wide range of topics including employee entitlement, worker engagement, job stress, employee health and wellbeing, social influence, workplace politics, abusive work behaviours, accountability, optimism, and leadership-focused motivation strategies.

Translated and disseminated in more than 40 languages, his work is widely featured in major business and social publications, globally recognised newspapers, and news/radio programs.

Examples of his influential scholarship appeared in some of the world’s most highly regarded Business and Management outlets, including articles in The Academy of Management Review, Administrative Sciences Quarterly, the Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, the Journal of Management, the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Leadership Quarterly, Human Relations, the Journal of Organizational Behavior, and the Journal of Vocational Behavior.

His 25 contributed book chapters have examined positive work politics, crisis management, leadership dynamics, and worker health sustainability.
