Nominations for the Vice-Chancellor’s Staff Excellence Awards are now open.
The annual awards recognise and celebrate the work of staff members across ACU.
In particular the awards look to acknowledge staff members whose work is progressing ACU’s strategic targets and who model our values and work culture.
Up to two commendations will be awarded in the categories of Mission Excellence, Service Excellence, Innovation Excellence, Excellence in Student Experience and Research Excellence.
One commendation winner will also be awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Medal for Excellence at the presentation ceremony in August.
Individual award winners will be granted $500 and teams will be awarded $2500 (per team). The winner of the Vice-Chancellor’s Medal for Excellence will be granted $5000 for an individual or $10,000 for a team.
Last year the medal was awarded to Dr Rhonda Faragher for her contribution to Mission Excellence through her life-changing work for people with Down Syndrome, both in Australia and internationally.
Other 2016 award winners included the Away from the Base Midwifery Team, the AskACU Project Team, the Service Matters Improvement Team, the Research Systems and Reporting Team, Leticia Medwell , Michael Dorman and Professor Neil Omerod.
