Saluting 30 years of dedicated service

A Message from Associate Vice-Chancellor (Melbourne) Dr John Ballard: After 30 years of dedicated service to ACU and its predecessor college, Associate Professor Cecelia Winkelman is retiring.

Cecelia joined Christ College in 1986, one of ACU’s founding teaching colleges, where she inspired many outstanding teachers.  She quickly became a key contributor to the School of Psychology with her characteristic drive and passion and was instrumental in the development of the full suite of accredited psychology courses that we are proud to offer at ACU today.

Cecelia’s management skills were recognised in 2006 when she commenced in the role of Assistant Head of National School and more recently she transitioned to the role of Deputy Head of School.

The School, like the Campus, has grown and undergone significant changes. Throughout Cecelia has provided  tremendous insight and support to her colleagues. Her generosity of spirit is evident in the valued contributions to both the Faculty and the University, personally, and through participation in multiple committees.

Cecelia has been a great mentor and nurturer of many staff and students over the years and will be much missed.

Personally, and on behalf of my colleagues, I wish Cecelia well for her retirement and delight in knowing that she will  embark on many other adventures.
