Semester 1 results are due on 3 July, with marks, as well as grades, required for all non-Pass/Fail units. All results must be submitted via Results Entry on Student Connect; it is no longer possible to upload results via Banner.
Results Entry improvements
In response to user feedback after Summer results entry, we've made a number of improvements to the Results Entry user interface, making it easier and more intuitive:
We have added a Unit filter to make it easier to find individual units. You can now filter your unit list by name, CRN, Unit title or semester.
For Pass/Fail units and pre-2018 units, the 'marks' box has now been greyed out, so that it is no longer possible to manually enter marks where they are not required.
The grading mode for each CRN is now displayed on the unit information panel on the right hand side, and an explanation of the grading modes and validation rules can be accessed from the 'Getting Started' panel.
The export template now only includes those columns used at ACU.
Training and support
A detailed user guide, which includes links to several video demonstrations, can be found via the link in the 'Getting Started' panel in Results Entry.
If you would prefer, you can attend live training on the following dates:
A telephone helpline will also be available in the week before results are due. Details of the helpline will be made available through the Staff Bulletin.
Top tips for using Results Entry
Final marks must be whole numbers. Simply changing the number of decimal places displayed is not sufficient.
If you are exporting results from LEO, remember to check the 0 decimal places option.
If you are using a calculation within your spreadsheet, remember to round your final results to 0 decimal places.
Results Entry will not accept calculations. If you have used a calculation, you will need to copy the results and paste into a new column 'as values'. A video demonstration is available via the Results Entry user guide.
The Results Entry user guide includes a guide to formula and calculations, including the Round function, and a link to a video demonstration ‘Removing decimal places and formulas’.
You should be able to upload from any spreadsheet, provided it meets some basic requirements.
The Result Entry user guide includes a detailed guide to preparing spreadsheets for upload and a link to a video demonstration ‘Preparing your spreadsheet’.
Primary or Secondary Instructor access is required for each unit and teaching period. You can request access via the Student Connect Access Request form.
An overview of results processes, the introduction of marks, etc, with links to relevant policy and procedures can be found on the Results webpage.
