Australian Catholic University ACU offers a number professional development programs for staff, run by in-house trainers. There is no cost for attendance for these programs, and all interested continuing and fixed-term staff are encouraged to register.
The Unit/CRN Management training session has been developed for the Faculty Executive Officers and nominated staff from the Faculties and Functioning units across the University. This session provides advice and guidance on managing 2018 Unit/CRN requests; how unit data, fee levels and the Handbook interact; and overall provided staff with a better understanding of this process.
Two one hour seminars, presented by video conference, which complement the Preparing for Academic Promotions Workshops are being conducted in April. These seminars have a specific focus on strategies for effective presentation of evidence of both Teaching and Research in applications for academic promotion.
