North Sydney student wins the 2017 National Oratory Final

North Sydney student Lana Shaba has been named the winner of ACU’s 2017 National Oratory Final.
The final, hosted by Student Enrichment within the Office of Student Success, was held in The Peter Cosgrove Centre at the North Sydney Campus on 11 October.
Six finalists from the local campus oratory finals competed to decide who would be crowned the national 2017 ACU oratory champion.
The finalists brought quality and a high level of competition to the event and left the audience and judges with much to think about as they spoke on the topic: How does empathy enhance leadership?
The national finalists were:

The 2017 National Oratory Final first place was awarded to Lana Shaba from the North Sydney Campus, followed by Errum Awan (Canberra Campus) in second place and Rebecca Wain (Melbourne Campus) in third place.

Prize money for the national oratory final was $1000 first place, $500 second place and $200 third place. A big congratulations to Lana and all of our finalists and a big thank you to all the students and staff who contributed to this national competition either as a participant or supporter.
