Updated HR documents
The following revised HR policies and associated documents relating to a range of employment provisions were considered by the ACUSCC at the meeting held on 7 December 2017. Following consultation, the Vice-Chancellor has approved the following updated documents, effective from 24 January 2018:
The definition of “Officers” has been updated. These University “Officers” are responsible for ensuring risks are appropriately identified and managed, and sufficient resources are allocated to manage relevant threats.
The WHS Committee Procedures supports committee Members to escalate and resolve issues, represent staff and students, and provide feedback to the University about its WHS Management System, including the management of risk.
The WHS Communications and Consultation Procedure informs the way that the University consults with staff, students, contractors and others about health and safety issues. Staff and others are also supported to resolve WHS issues by following the resolution pathway, within the procedure.
The Procedure also outlines the triggers for consultations with staff and others about WHS issues that affect them.
These documents have been updated to incorporate guidance for staff and supervisors on utilising the Competency Development Framework (CDF) in performance and development conversations.
The updated documents reference above are available on the Policies & Procedures pages of the ACU website under HR and may be accessed via the links embedded above. You may need to refresh the individual policy page to ensure that the latest version of the policy is displayed.
