Important changes to the Assessment Policy, Procedures and Supplementary Assessment Guidelines

Recommended changes to the Assessment Policy, Procedures and Supplementary Assessment Guidelines were considered and endorsed at the September meeting of ULTC and Executive Approval was granted for the amendments to take effect immediately.
Following the launch of the 2016 revisions to the Assessment Policy and Procedures, in particular the Guidelines for Supplementary Assessment, an intensive review was undertaken using feedback from the University community to determine whether some further refining was required. This review has concluded and the approved amendments have been implemented.
The major change is in relation to supplementary assessment where in section 20.2 (e) of Table 3 of the Assessment Procedures and section 1 (e) of the Supplementary Guidelines, only one supplementary assessment is now allowed, thus a student with more than one NF grade will not be eligible for a supplementary assessment.
It is highly recommended that all staff read the relevant documents closely.
