Implementation Science – Translating research into practice

The Institute for Health & Ageing (IHA) is pleased to announce a special seminar titled Implementation Science – Translating Research into Practice presented by Dr Nicole Rankin from Sydney Catalyst.

This special presentation at 1pm on Wednesday 17 August 2016 will discuss Dr Rankin’s work which aims to improve health outcomes through a translational research program facilitating the rapid translation of scientific discoveries into policy and practice. Dr Rankin has more than 15 years' experience working in cancer control, primarily in psychosocial and behavioural aspects of patient care.

Dr Rankin’s research interests are in the implementation of evidence into cancer practice and policy. She has significantly contributed to the development and implementation of psychosocial clinical practice guidelines and has led implementation and evaluation programs in psychosocial oncology, specialist breast cancer nursing and models of peer support.

Dr Rankin's seminar is a part of the IHA Live Long Live Well Colloquium series which presents talks from colleagues and collaborators working across a range of disciplines relative to the pursuit of healthy and active ageing. All presentations are followed by an opportunity for discussion.
