Holy Week: When ACU’s Mission began

Published: Thursday 17th March 2016

Next week is the most Holy Week of the year in the Christian world. Palm Sunday (March 20) is the first day of Holy Week, which leads up to the Triduum (three days). The Triduum commences with the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Thursday night. The Triduum continues the following day with the Passion of the Lord on Good Friday and reaches its climax with Easter Sunday, celebrating the Resurrection of the Lord.

A key feature at ACU will be a Holy Week Christian Liturgy on each campus at Noon on Thursday, March 24.

We will be honouring Holy Week in a variety of ways from Monday to Thursday, which will include the Stations of The Cross (to remember and give thanks for the benefits of the passion and death of Jesus), the Sacrament of Penance/Reconciliation, Healing Mass, Christian Meditation and Mercy Hour.

There will also be hot cross buns offered after the liturgy on Thursday.

Please contact Campus Ministry staff on your Campus for further details.
