Celebrating our 25th anniversary

Published: Wednesday 12th August 2015

Message from Associate Vice-Chancellor (ACT/NSW) Professor Marea Nicholson: It has been a busy couple of weeks in Sydney with many celebratory events to mark ACU’s 25th Anniversary year.

The Sydney campuses have not only hosted many of the national 25th Anniversary events but also have come together to celebrate the University’s anniversary with campus events.

North Sydney Campus combined the Mary MacKillop Feast celebrations with its 25th Campus Anniversary celebrations on Friday 7 August.

The day was marked with a mass celebrated in Our Lady of Seat of Wisdom Chapel by Father Anthony Casamento and was followed by a campus barbeque for staff and students. As with any good party there was also a special ACU cake.

Strathfield Campus will celebrate this Friday, 14 August, as they acknowledge the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Mass will be held in the Barron Memorial Chapel and celebrated by the Most Reverend Bishop Terence Brady at 12pm. The Mass will be followed by a barbeque and celebration cake.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who has contributed to our first 25 years.

On many measures we have exceeded the vision of our Founders, and now face the next 25 years with promise and purpose to continue to pursue our Mission.
