To celebrate ACU's 25th anniversary, this March the Faculty of Health Sciences hosted an academic seminar on 25 years of change in healthcare.
Geraldine 'Polly' Bednash (PhD, RN, FAAN) presented on the enormous changes seen over the past 25 years in the way healthcare is delivered in both the United States and Australia. Polly is an adjunct professor with ACU and until recently, was the Executive Director and CEO of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing in the US, a position she held from 1989 until 2014.
The seminar provided great insights into how the delivery of healthcare has developed over a quarter of a century, and highlighted the similarities and differences in approach to healthcare in both the United States and Australia.
