This seminar provides members with the key issues to consider when entering into retirement. Whether planning for an immediate retirement, or just seeking to gain a better understanding of the central issues, this comprehensive seminar includes information on:

UniSuper 101 – An Introduction

While especially relevant to members who have joined within the last 12 months, this session is suitable for all members who wish to gain an overview of UniSuper.

Managing your Contributions DBD Members

The rules around contributing to super can be complex and confusing. This seminar aims to take away the confusion and explain the different types of contributions to superannuation. It is suitable for all members and will cover:

  • The types of contributions available and how they are taxed
  • The contribution caps that apply
  • Incentives to contribute to super such as the spouse rebate
  • Ways to manage your contributions
  • Special rules for some Defined Benefit Division members

Do you have questions about UniSuper options?

UniSuper Consultant Andrew Syarief is available to assist ACU staff from all campuses with free general advice on understanding their superannuation options.

Consultations are available through virtual meetings via a GoToMeeting webinar link. This option is available to staff in all location and will enable personalised video conferencing. Face-to-face meetings are also available at the North Sydney Campus each Friday. These meetings are held in Room 14B, Level 14, Tenison Woods House, 8-20 Napier Street, North Sydney.

UniSuper Consultant Andrew Syarief will also visit the Strathfield Campus on Friday 1 May 2015. Appointments for free advice will be available in the Function Room North From 9am to 5pm.

UniSuper has qualified financial advisers available for personal appointments to discuss retirement planning and investment strategies, debt management and more. Your first appointment with UniSuper Advice is complimentary. If you choose to proceed, a fixed quote will be provided at the end of the meeting.

UniSuper Advice Financial Advisor Craig Naylor will be available at the Strathfield campus for face-to-face appointments for personal financial advice on Wednesday 8 April 2015.
