Super advice on demand
Published: Monday 19th December 2016
ACU's staff superannuation fund UniSuper has a number of webinars available on demand to help you maximise your savings.
UniSuper101 - an introduction
UniSuper offers flexible products for new and existing members to choose from. This seminar seeks to introduce (primarily) new employees to the basic fund offering, including details of the defined benefit option versus accumulation alternative. Registration: Please register via the UniSuper website.
Generation Y - super smart
For Generation Y, now is the time to visualise what type of retirement you seek, and level of funding required to support this outcome. This webcast takes younger members through the first key steps in developing a solid superannuation savings base from which to steadily grow their retirement nest egg. Registration: Please register via the UniSuper website.
Emotional planning for retirement
Consultant and coach, Dr Jon Glass talks about the emotional journey into and in retirement. Jon offers solutions to problems faced by retired or nearly-retired people. He does not offer financial advice, assuming that each client has already put a financial plan in place, rather he aims to draw out and highlight the possibilities, benefits and self-worth of a long life in retirement. Registration: Please register via the UniSuper website.
Retirement planning for women
Retirement planning today isn’t a one-size-fits all proposition – especially for women. Being prepared to spend more years in retirement with potentially fewer resources to fund those years is an increasing reality for many women. This webinar explores not only the financial aspects of retirement, but delves into some of the personal issues women will need to consider when thinking about their retirement years. Registration: Please register via the UniSuper website.
Women and Super - One Smart Move
Research shows that women face unique challenges when it comes to retirement savings. They tend to have less super than men for many different reasons, including career breaks and time out of the workforce for to raise families, making it more difficult to build a reasonable amount of super.
This session is suitable for women of all ages who would like to develop a better understanding of financial matters and be more active in managing their retirement savings. Registration: Please register via the UniSuper website.
Transition to retirement
The ‘transition to retirement’ (TTR) option is a government initiative which recognises that members may want to decrease their working hours over time towards the end of their career. It allows members to access their super benefits as an income stream prior to retirement. Some members use it as an opportunity to boost their super benefits overall or just ease into retirement. Registration: Please register via the UniSuper website.
