The significant expansion of the University over recent years has placed pressure on available space. Accurate and up-to-date records are required in order to strategically plan space requirements and effectively manage day-to-day operations.
ACU Infrastructure, in partnership with Turner & Townsend Thinc consultants, will be undertaking an audit of all office space, open plan spaces, meeting rooms, storage and staff amenity spaces on the North Sydney campus commencing Monday, 1 February for approximately 2 weeks.
The purpose of this audit is to:
Obtain current information of office allocations in order for spatial data and room signage to be updated
Photography of each space in order for spatial data to be updated
Basic physical fabric audit in order for spatial data to be updated
Provide accurate space usage information to inform Campus Infrastructure Committees’ (CIC) processes
Where available, the consultant will report to reception or administration office in each area on arrival, with each individual space likely to take approximately 5-10 minutes to review. For sensitive areas we ask that an escort be provided from the relevant School, Faculty or Directorate.
Assistance may be required from staff on the floor if the use of an area is not clear or if the space is shared. We may ask the support of School, Institute and Faculty Managers in particular in confirming office and workstation allocations.
