Rock Up Netball returns to Fitzroy this May

Published: Friday 22nd April 2016

The ACU Melbourne Netball Club, in partnership with Netball Victoria and the Department of Health and Human Services, is delivering a series of Rock Up Netball sessions at Atherton Gardens in May & June 2016.

Rock Up Netball (RUN) aims to provide females 15+ with a low cost ‘pay as you play,’ easy and informal opportunity to play netball in an enjoyable environment at the level they desire. Developed in conjunction with VicHealth with the aim to increase female participation, RUN creates a distinct difference from ‘regular’ netball in the format it currently exists.  The program incorporates the basic skills of netball in a fun and friendly environment, with relaxed match play to finish.

After a successful pilot program in March of this year, with a total of 16 girls registered online and 6-8 attending each session, the Netball Club welcomes the return of Rock Up Netball with open arms. The program not only provides club members with the opportunity to mingle with likeminded students and get fit, but also allows them to engage with the wider community.

ACU students, staff and members of the wider community are welcome to join the program. Details can be found below:
