Revised Discrimination and Harassment Policy

The University continues to review and update Human Resources and related policies and procedures following the approval of the Australian Catholic University Staff Enterprise Agreement 2013-2017 (the Agreement) that came into effect on 19 March 2014, and as necessary to ensure compliance with legislation.
Accordingly, the Discrimination and Harassment Policy has been updated to ensure it is consistent with legislation and to provide clearer and more succinct descriptions of the behaviours that would constitute unlawful discrimination, unlawful harassment and sexual harassment.
The revised Discrimination and Harassment Policy was considered by the ACUSCC at the meeting held on 21 April 2016. Following consultation, the Vice-Chancellor has approved the updated document, effective from 9 May 2016.
The updated document is available on the Policies & Procedures pages of the ACU website under HR and may be accessed via the links embedded above. You may need to refresh the individual policy page to ensure that the latest version of the policy is displayed.
The previously implemented Discrimination and Harassment Policy (dated June 2008) has been formally revoked by the Vice-Chancellor with effect from 9 May 2016.
