The current Assessment Policy and Procedures will be repealed and replaced with the revised Assessment Policy, Procedures and Guidelines and Information for Students and Staff on Supplementary Assessment on 1 January 2016.
The policy revision has taken 12 months and an extensive consultation process has been undertaken before final approval was granted by Academic Board on 2 December 2015. The revision was conducted in the spirit of continuing to support good practice in assessment at ACU with a strong outcomes focus.
The new documents will be available in the University Handbook and the link accessible through the ACU Policies website from 1 January 2016.
Staff should use the updated Extended Unit Outline Template when preparing their courses for 2016. Please see the Learning and Teaching Centre website www.acu.edu.au/ltc for the 2016 Extended Unit Outline Template. Support for staff in implementing the new Policy will be provided by the Learning and Teaching Centre and the Faculties.
