Report Launch: Children and Young People's Safety in Institutions
Published: Thursday 30th July 2015
Invitation to attend the launch of a new report: ‘Taking Us Seriously: Children and young people talk about safety and institutional responses to their safety concerns’.
This report is part of a study commissioned by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, and will be launched by the National Children’s Commissioner, Ms Megan Mitchell.
It reports on the findings of focus groups conducted across Australia with 121 children and young people aged four to 18 years, about their views and perceptions of children’s safety in institutions. The launch will include a presentation of findings by the research team, Dr Tim Moore and Professor Morag McArthur.
RSVP: At your earliest convenience to firstname.lastname@example.org. Places are limited.
Refreshments will be provided.
Please note: Next week we launch a national online survey of children and young people aged 10 – 18 about their views on safety in institutions; as the final phase of this study. The survey will be live from 3 August to the end of September, and schools and organisations can participate by registering to participate as a cohort, or by promoting the survey to children and young people.
