Remembering those who have gone before us
Published: Wednesday 26th October 2016
Traditionally, the Catholic Church has kept November as the month dedicated to remembrance of the souls of the faithful departed.
Campus Ministry intends to offer prayers and Masses during the month of November for all those, now deceased, who have been part of, or associated with the Australian Catholic University family.
We will be holding special All Souls Day liturgies on all campuses on Wednesday 2 November.
Ballarat: 12pm in the St Thomas Aquinas Chapel
Brisbane: 12pm in the Holy Spirit Chapel
Canberra: 12:30pm in the Signadou Chapel
Melbourne: 12pm in the St Mary of the Cross MacKillop Chapel
North Sydney: 1pm in Our Lady Seat Wisdom Chapel
Strathfield: 12pm in the Barron Memorial Chapel
In lead up to these events, we invite staff to send in the names of their family members and friends would they would like remembered in our prayers and Masses. These names will be inscribed in a book and placed in the chapels across all our campuses during the month of November.
To record the names of those you would like to be remembered at our Masses and in our prayers, we invite you to use our online prayer request form.
As a University family, let us pray and give thanks for, all those whom we have loved and lost, now entrusted to God’s loving care.
