This week we welcomed a record breaking 5,500 students to their ACU Brisbane Campus. The momentum that is driving ACU Brisbane has seen it become a university of choice for staff, students and partners who are struck by one of Australia's most innovative university campuses, offering a critical curriculum relevant to people's lives, and evidenced by our newly opened state of the art simulation spaces for paramedicine and occupational therapy.
This year we will build our world class Speech Pathology Clinic on campus, providing much needed services to the many communities we serve. It will also give our students real and relevant learning experiences that form part of their dynamic "live" curriculum.
Such innovations in learning spaces compliment a well-executed campus Masterplan that in recent years that has helped shape the McAuley at Banyo site into a modern university campus with dynamic, innovative and flexible systems of learning designed to generate knowledge in the context of application. And as you wander across our 90 acre campus, you can't help but be in awe of our superb new building that completes our stunning University Courtyard. Named in honour of the great thinker and philosopher Saint John Paul ll, this building serves as an iconic example of ACU Brisbane’s commitment to creating innovative spaces to facilitate inspired cognitive and critical thinking and reflection.
This year the University celebrates its 25th anniversary, with ACU Brisbane's major showcase involving the Blessing, Naming and Opening of our JP2 Building, which is planned for Thursday 28 May 2015 (from 10am to 12pm). Don't miss it!
