As staff should be aware, changes to the fortnightly pay cycle will be implemented in November 2014. The pay, which would normally be paid on Wednesday 5 November 2014, will be moved back by one week to be paid on Wednesday 12 November 2014. That is, there will be a period of three weeks between pays rather than the normal fortnight.
If you are concerned about your ability to meet your financial obligations as a result of this change, please contact the Confidential Helpline (extension 4222) to discuss your options as soon as possible. The Confidential Helpline can provide you with information on measures that have been put in place to support staff to meet financial obligations during the period of the Pay Date Change.
If you advise that the change may cause financial difficulty or hardship, you can obtain a loan application form. If you wish to apply for a loan, your application must be lodged by 12 noon on Friday 10 October 2014 for the loan payment to be made on Wednesday 5 November 2014. Further information about the Pay Date Change is available on the Pay Date Change website, within the FAQs. Please note that the loan application form can only be obtained via the Confidential Hotline.
