On Friday 14 November the Nursing Research Institute St Vincent’s Health Australia (Sydney) and Australian Catholic University (ACU) hosted their biennial Nursing Research Symposium “Looking forward, looking back: Celebrating 5 years of NRI research” . With an international guest speaker, opportunities for SVHA staff to showcase their research through posters and paper presentations and a panel discussion on Social media for health researchers: Why yes and why not?, the day was a success with more than 70 attendees.
Prizes were given for best paper and poster presentations. The winner for best paper presentation was St Vincent’s Hospital’s Clinical Nurse Educator, Levina Saad (Support and the Early Career Nurse). The winner for best poster(The oral health of people living with Motor Neurone Disease)was Rose Gordon, who is a Clinical Nurse Consultant, Motor Neurone Disease Service at St Joseph’s Hospital.
