Updated HR documents

Following the approval of the ACU Staff Enterprise Agreement 2013-2017 that came into effect on 19 March 2014, the University has developed the following HR Policy, Guidelines and Pro-Forma relating to academic working arrangements.

Following broad consultation with the Workload Advisory Committee (WAC), ACU Staff Consultative Committee (ACUSCC), Executive Deans, Associate Deans and National Heads of School, the Vice-Chancellor has approved the following documents, that will come into effect for workload allocations from 1 January 2015:

  • Academic Workload Policy
    This policy outlines information about academic availability, academic work, Academic Career Pathways (ACP) and the management of academic workload allocation. The policy also outlines changes to the process for the allocation of a research workload and implements the [relevant] provisions of the ACU Staff Enterprise Agreement 2013 – 2017.
  • Research Performance Review and Plan Template and Guidelines
    The academic workload policy in association with the research performance review and plan template and guidelines, establish the basis for requesting and being allocated a research workload allocation for 2015 and onwards.

The updated documents are available on the Academic Working Arrangements pages of the ACU website under HR and may be accessed via the links embedded above. You may need to refresh the individual policy page to ensure that the latest version of the policy is displayed.

Please note: The Academic Workload Framework and Model remain in effect for workload allocation in 2014.
