New and revised HR policies

Updated HR documents

The University continues to review and update HR and related policies and procedures following the approval of the Australian Catholic University Staff Enterprise Agreement 2013-2017 (the Agreement) that came into effect on 19 March 2014, and as necessary to ensure compliance with legislation.

The following revised HR policies and associated documents relating to a range of employment provisions were considered by the ACUSCC at the meeting held on 26 February 2015. Following consultation, the Vice-Chancellor has approved the updated documents listed below, effective from 24 March 2015.

Academic Promotions

The suite of Academic Promotions documents have been revised following the most recent round of the academic promotions. This review process is undertaken annually following the academic promotions process in the previous year. The associated pro-forma have also been reviewed and revised where necessary as part of this process. The following documents have been updated:

  • Academic Promotions Policy
  • Academic Promotions Guidelines on the Criteria for Promotions to Level B and Level C
  • Academic Promotions Guidelines on the Criteria for Promotions to Level D
  • Academic Promotions Guidelines on the Criteria for Promotions to Level E
  • Academic Promotions Application Procedures

The updated documents are available on the ACU Policies & Procedures website under HR and may be accessed via the links above. You may need to refresh the individual policy page to ensure that the latest version of the policy is displayed.

Accordingly, the Vice-Chancellor has revoked the following previously implemented policies, with effect from 24 March 2015:

  • Academic Promotions Policy (dated 25 March 2014)
  • Academic Promotions Guidelines on the Criteria for Promotions to Level B and Level C (dated 31 March 2014)
  • Academic Promotions Guidelines on the Criteria for Promotions to Level D (dated 31 March 2014)
  • Academic Promotions Guidelines on the Criteria for Promotions to Level E (dated 31 March 2014)
  • Academic Promotions Application Procedures (dated 11 April 2014)
  • Academic Promotions Guidelines on the Criteria for Promotions to Level B and Level C (dated 31 March 2014)
  • Higher Duties Allowance for Professional Staff Policy (dated 3 December 2007)
  • Work Experience and Volunteers Policy (dated 7 April 2008)
  • Performance Management for Casual Staff Program Policy (dated 6 March 2008): This Policy has been revoked because the Performance Management for Casual Staff Program is no longer occurring.
