Applications to undertake the Emerging Leaders and Managers Program (eLAMP) are now open.
The Emerging Leaders and Managers Program is offered in partnership through the LH Martin Institute and ATEM and was developed in response to the need for accessible and relevant professional development for new and aspiring tertiary education managers in times of increasing pressures for change. This program will provide participants with the combination of skills, knowledge and judgements required to lead and manage effectively in the current environment.

What previous participants say about eLAMP
“You can take what you want from the eLAMP program and incorporate the pieces that will be most relevant to you and see how that benefits what you’re doing day-to-day. These courses make you realise that you can do your work a little bit differently and maybe a lot more effectively. For me it was practical things like - save a half hour at the end of each day to review an issue you’ve had, and reflect on how you’ve dealt with it, how you’ve strategized to resolve that issue.”
- Amy Ryan, Manager, Exchange and Study Abroad.
‘I gained considerable insight into myself as a potential leader and manager particularly through the self-reflection modules. I have definitely grown from my learning experiences during the eLAMP as it has provided clarity around where my role fits into the context of the whole institution and it has made me reflect on how I, as one part of the whole, can positively impact and successfully contribute to the broader organisational goals’
- Vicky Bourbous, Liaison Librarian.
‘I found the program was well structured and a must for new supervisors working in the higher education sector. It encompasses interesting topics and research based readings. It has definitely provided me with the knowledge, skills and confidence to improve myself - both personally and professionally’
- Pamela Sarly, Manager, Statistical Analysis and Surveys.
