Make a difference during Open Access Week
Published: Tuesday 20th October 2015
This week is the 8th International Open Access Week, established by the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC) to highlight making academic literature more open to all.
Open Access can provide more exposure for your research, allow practitioners to apply your findings in a more timely fashion, and provides equity of access to information to students and researchers in developing nations.
How can you make a difference?
Both the Australian Research Council (ARC) and the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) support open access through policies mandating that publications funded by them must be deposited in an institutional repository within 12 months of publication.
Australian Catholic University’s institutional repository, Researchbank is maintained by the Library and Library Research Support staff can assist with ensuring you meet the Open Access Mandates for your publications. To find out more please contact the Library.
