Learning for Life: Using ePortfolios at ACU

The Learning and Teaching Centre is pleased to offer a full day workshop opportunity for all staff, facilitated by Dr Panos Vlachopoulos, Macquarie University, to explore creative approaches to defining, managing and implementing ePortfolios for learning and teaching as well as professional uses. 

Profile: Dr Panos Vlachopoulos is Senior Lecturer in Higher Education Development in the Learning and Teaching Centre at Macquarie University, Australia. He has international working experience in the UK, Hong Kong and New Zealand. His areas of expertise include online tutoring and e-moderation, reflective practice in professional development and learning design for student-directed learning. He recently presented the keynote address at the LTC Learning for Life Conference in July 2014.

Aim: To facilitate and conduct a professional conversation exploring issues relating to defining, managing and implementing ePortfolios for learning, teaching and professional experience at ACU.

Intended Outcomes: 

  • Exploring approaches to activities, assessment and feedback using ePortfolios in different disciplines
  • Identifying a range of key ways in which ePortfolios can help meet learner needs and common teaching challenges in a Higher Education environment
  • Exploring the rationale and design of learning, assessing and offering feedback using ePortfolios ideas from different disciplines.
