Learning for Life: February update

Published: Monday 16th February 2015

ACU's Learning for Life framework has set the foundations for the University to prosper and achieve excellence in learning and teaching over the next four years.

The project has now moved from the initiation phase to implementation, with the development of over 25 projects that have been categorised as university-wide, cross-faculty or faculty-only projects. Currently, the Learning for Life team is scoping the individual projects, identifying resources and developing implementation strategies.

The main themes of the program are:

  • literacy and numeracy
  • assessment/curriculum mapping and support
  • improving student learning experience
  • teaching excellence
  • student engagement and retention
  • enhancing learning and teaching space
  • implementing learning and teaching service leadership

The Learning and Teaching Centre has appointed a Learning for Life Project Officer and six educational designers to support the implementation of the framework. The project team are working with ongoing support and collaboration with the Office of the Provost and the Associate Deans, Learning and Teaching.
