The gap between what is known and what is done in health care has focused attention on the urgent need to find more effective ways to transfer evidence from research into practice.

Director of the Institute for Healthy Living and Chronic Disease Prevention at the University of British Columbia Okangan Professor Joan Bortoff is a visiting international scholar at the School of Nursing and professorial fellow at ACU.
