Thousands of staff, students and the public pass through ACU campuses every day. For our security team, ensuring all campuses remain safe and welcoming environments for everyone is the highest priority.
Our security team operates a 24hr-a-day surveillance presence on all campuses from the National Security Centre and security teams are also based at each location to provide in-person support.
Recently, the team introduced key changes to enhance the security of our facilities and to ensure the response to any incidents is fast and efficient.
These changes include:
Enhanced CCTV surveillance on all campuses and a rolling program to replace old cameras. We now have more than 950 cameras nationally which are monitored 24/7.
Increased Access Control which provides card-entry security to internal and external doors.
Bob Pagett, National Security and Compliance Manager, said: “Everyone is responsible for keeping the university a safe place which is why it’s important that staff and students keep security in mind while they are on campus.”
