Visiting Professor, Harvey Goldstein of the Learning Sciences Institute Australia will be presenting a two day workshop on Multilevel Modelling from 2-3 February 2015 at ACU's Brisbane Campus.
This two day workshop will introduce multilevel models, now a standard technique for the analysis of social and other data with complex structures. It will take participants through the various stages of setting up, fitting and interpreting these models using social, including educational, and health datasets.
Professor Goldstein is a Honorary Professor at ACU, a Professorial Research Fellow in the Assessment, Evaluation and Student Learning Research Program of the LSIA and a Professor of Social Statistics at the University of Bristol.
He is an internationally-recognised expert in multilevel modelling, with publications on both the methodology and its application to large-scale social data sets.
The manual and PowerPoint presentation will be sent to participants prior to the workshop, which will take place in a laboratory where participants will experience hands on use of the MLwiN software package.
