The implementation of Aurion as the University’s replacement HRP solution is in progress and the project is on target to achieve the planned go-live at the end of Q1 2018. The project is currently working through business rules required to be setup in the Aurion solution to support the needs of the University.
In the coming months these business rules will be setup, employee information from PayGlobal will be transferred into Aurion and solution testing will commence. Information regarding user training and the transition approach from our current HR/Payroll system (PayGlobal and Staff Connect) to the Aurion solution and the new Staff Connect will be communicated to you in the near future.
This phase of the project covers the core implementation of Aurion to ensure that the current functionality in PayGlobal is available to users when we go-live, including Staff Connect. In addition, some new solution functionality and capability will be implemented to streamline and automate a number of processes for go-live including:
Online Banking Account Changes
Salary Flexibility (incorporating higher duties)
Request to Vary (incorporating Fixed Term Expiry and changes to Academic Career Pathways)
Notice to Terminate
Long Service Leave (incorporating payment at 50% or ½ pay)
Online Tax Declaration submission
For example, the Online Bank Account Changes will allow staff to change their banking details associated with their pay each fortnight which will flow directly into Aurion without any intervention by HR. This is achieved through process automation and workflows Aurion will offer the University into the future. After go-live work will continue to replace as many current forms and processes as possible with automation and workflows.
There are some HR modules that will not be covered in this phase of the project including Recruitment, Managing for Performance and WHS. These modules will be considered as a separate project into the future. This means that existing systems and processes such as PageUp, riskware, online RPRP process, paper based PRP process, etc. will continue to function and be used by the University.
