Hear indigenous perspectives

Published: Monday 8th August 2016

An Indigenous Perspectives Lunchbox Session will be presented via videconference by Graeme La Macchia, PhD candidate, from the Thomas More Law School. Graeme will explore the topic of ‘Big Gubba Business – The Making of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples: First Nations Resurgence and the Indigenous Australian Connection’.

The videoconference will be held from 12pm to 1pm on Thursday, 11 August and there is no cost for attendance. The session will discuss the dimensions that are consistent with both Aboriginal ways of knowing and interrogating, politics and with the emerging culture of First Nations engagement with global organisations – both of which are based on oral testimony.
