Lucy will begin with examples of research questions that can be addressed with EFA and PCA and she'll summarise the similarities and differences between these techniques - highlighting the settings in which one of these analytical approaches might be preferable to the other.
After an outline of the steps involved in the process of EFA and PCA, the seminar will conclude with examples of ‘appropriate’ and ‘inappropriate’ applications of each of these statistical techniques.
