Good teachers will plan their teaching and student learning activities. They will implement during the semester and ensure that they obtain feedback from their students during the semester and adapt as appropriate. They will consider student evaluations and reflect on those evaluations and the experiences of the teaching teams. This will then inform how they approach the unit in the following semester.
This presentation will address the question of how we can use the scholarship of learning and teaching to improve these good practices and also improve the student learning experience. It will make recommendations on how this can lead to research and publication. The presentation will include an example of an action research project that was undertaken on a collaborative writing task and how this was turned into a quality publication.
