The program is an initiative to enhance ACU’s recruitment, development and retention practices for mature age staff. Feedback gained will assist the University in developing resources and processes that can best support staff throughout the employment life cycle.
The Corporate Champions Program is a federal government initiative aimed at embedding leading practice workplace supports for staff aged 45 plus. To implement the program, ACU has partnered with Sageco - a leading provider of workplace programs focusing on the needs of mature age workers.
Focus group sessions:
The focus group sessions are open to both Professional and Academic staff members, and will seek feedback on all stages of the employment lifecycle including:
Candidate attraction and recruitment challenges and opportunities;
Learning and development challenges and opportunities;
Wellbeing, motivation and engagement practices and initiatives; and
Transition to retirement challenges and opportunities
Staff may register to participate in a focus group either on Monday 1 December or Monday 8 December 2014. Each session will be held from 12.00pm to 1.30pm ADST via video conference, and a lunch will be provided.
