Examination results release for Semester 1 and SELT survey participation

Students who complete all their Student Evaluation of Learning and Teaching (SELT) surveys for 2016 Semester 1 units (the surveys are conducted for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework units in ACU which have at least 10 enrolled students) will have the chance to view their examination results earlier - on Wednesday, 13 July 2016 after 4.30pm.

The strategy was approved by the University Learning and Teaching Committee, and it is implemented in collaboration with many areas of the University.

Students will receive an email to announce the early results release which is subject to:

  • the student completing all SELT surveys for 2016 Semester 1 units.
  • the Lecturer in Charge (LIC) entering the unit grades on the relevant system on or before Tuesday, 12 July 2016
  • none of the usual circumstances that may delay getting access to the results (e.g. unpaid fees, results requiring further review) being applicable to the student.

Students who do not complete and submit all their SELT survey(s) will still be able view their published results on Student Connect after 4.30pm on Thursday, 14 July 2016 - which is the official University result release date.

All ‘Primary Instructors’ (Lecturers in Charge or and/or School administration staff) who have been given appropriate access to Student Connect have the responsibility to enter the results by the due date. Please note, the final day to add/change Semester 1 results is Tuesday, 12 July 2016.

For early results release, Student Administration will send emails to students from an unmonitored account. If the results are not available for viewing by students, the students who enquire will be informed to contact the respective Lecturers in Charge for the units.

The LTC response to students who enquire about their results will contain the following message: “If there is no result for a unit, and you believe you have completed all requirements for the unit, please contact the relevant Lecturer in Charge. There are various reasons why the result may not be available. For example, the result has been withheld because of outstanding fees, or the result is being withheld due to a matter requiring further investigation or review.”
