ACU's Disability Service and Career Development Service are excited to present: Employ-Ability: A careers forum for students with disabilities.
Three interactive sessions will be held over three consecutive weeks. Hear directly from employers and industry experts, alumni and current students in a Q&A style panel regarding opportunities, pathways to employment, common issues impacting people with disabilities in the workplace, communication strategies and building resilience.
Staff and students are welcome to attend one or all of these three interactive sessions. Registration details below.
Session One: Communication and Information Sharing
When: Tuesday 20 September, 10am to11:30am
Where: ACU, Room 16AB, Tenison Woods House, 8-20 Napier Street, North Sydney, NSW 2060.
The first session will focus on communication in the university and workplace environments, and will include the topic of information sharing about disability.

Session Two: Ability
When: Wednesday 28 September, 10am to11:30am
Where: ACU, Level 18, Room 18, Tenison Woods House, 8-20 Napier Street, North Sydney, NSW 2060.
This session will provide students with the tools to focus on their strengths and abilities and to communicate these effectively to employers. This session will help students recognise and establish a framework for communicating their abilities through the recruitment and application process, interviews and in the workplace.

Session Three: Resilience
When: Tuesday 4 October, 10am to 11.30am
Where: ACU, Level 18, Room 18, Tenison Woods House, 8-20 Napier Street, North Sydney, NSW 2060.
This session will focus on strategies for building resilience in the tertiary environment, in a tough job-seekers' market and in the workplace.
