The ACU Institute of Child Protection Studies, part of the Learning Sciences Institute Australia, is inviting young Australians aged 10 – 18 to participate in a national online survey, about their views on children and young people’s safety in institutions.
The survey is part of a larger study exploring children and young people’s perceptions and understandings of safety in institutional contexts. It has been commissioned by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, and focuses on what makes children and young people feel safe in institutions.
The survey is voluntary, anonymous and there are prizes to be won!
We would appreciate your help to promote this survey, by sharing the link with your email networks or on your Facebook page, or by talking about it over the dinner table.
We also recently released the report from the first part of the project, which reports on the findings of focus groups with 121 children and young people aged 4 – 18 across Australia, on their views and perceptions of safety. The report is available online at: http://www.acu.edu.au/621059
