Disablement of Grade Distribution Report in Student Connect

Published: Thursday 16th October 2014

This action has been prompted by the requirement to ensure that our assessment processes and supporting systems remain consistent with ACU’s Assessment Policy and Procedures which are aligned with TEQSA, and other external and internal requirements which stipulate criterion referenced assessment for the University. This approach means that standards for each grade range are pre-set and benchmarked. Grades will then be differentiated through identification of threshold standards at pass, credit, distinction and high distinction levels and most units of study will be able to demonstrate a range of grades across a cohort, noting that this will, of course, depend on the performance of individual students. Grades will not then need to be scaled after marking to achieve a norm.

Should you require any further information on this or any other assessment related matters, please contact your Associate Dean Learning and Teaching or the Learning and Teaching Centre.
