Defence Health Foundation Grants: Expressions of interest

The Defence Health Foundation is wholly owned and funded by Defence Health Limited, private health insurer to the Defence community since 1953. The Foundation was established in 2010 and has awarded grants annually since 2011, totalling over $2 million to date in past distributions and current commitments.
The foundation is looking for medical research that:
Is designed to directly benefit contemporary serving or ex-serving ADF members and their families.
Covers physical and mental health issues that lead to behaviours that adversely affect the lives of these family members.
Focuses on prevention, treatment, rehabilitation or intervention.
The foundation will not be funding laboratory (basic science) research this year.
Grants on offer range from $25,000 to $100,000.

Fully completed applications should be submitted to the Research Office at least seven working days prior to the funding body's closing date.

Successful applicants from this first stage will be invited to submit a full grant application by 6 July 2015. Grant recipients will be advised in November.
