Dean - La Salle Academy for Religious Education

The La Salle Academy for Religious Education will be responsible for the development, delivery and quality assurance of teaching and research programs in Religious Education including programs with a focus on the development and formation of teachers and leaders of religious education in Catholic Schools.

The Academy will oversee programs at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. An Academy Advisory Board will be established to advise the Committee on the Academy’s development, with an emphasis on the responsiveness to the needs of Catholic stakeholders.

The Dean will be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of the Academy’s programs and strategies, management of Academy operations (including budget) and contributing to the strategic development and academic leadership of the Academy. The Dean will work closely with staff from
other Faculties and the Directorate of Identity and Mission as well as external partners including the Directors of Catholic Schools Offices. The Dean will also be a member of the Vice-Chancellor’s Strategy Group.
