Important research information sessions

Published: Monday 11th May 2015

The annual Research Performance Review and Plan (RPRP) process will open on Monday 18 May 2015 with applications due to be submitted by Tuesday 30 June 2015 (5pm).  The RPRP process applies to all academic staff who are seeking a X3 (previously C3) individual research workload allocation in 2016.

Academic staff seeking an X3 allocation in 2016 are required to complete a RPRP pro-forma which includes:

  • A Research Performance Review inclusive of the quality research case;
  • Annual Report (for those who have already completed a RPRP and received a research workload allocation for 2015); and
  • A three-year Rolling Research Plan.
Please note that the X3 research workload allocation is only one component of the total annual research workload for an academic staff member. Normally, following the X3 research workload allocation, the staff member, in discussion with their nominated supervisor and/or National Head of School, will finalise all other research allocations.
Updated RPRP Guidelines
The RPRP Guidelines have been updated in 2015 to include key research quality measures across disciplines and important guidance on building your quality research ‘case’.  Faculty Journal Ranking Lists for Peer Review disciplines have been developed and are included in the Guidelines. Staff are strongly encouraged to review the Guidelines thoroughly and attend one of the information sessions before preparing the RPRP pro-forma.
Research Quality Information Sessions
To support academic staff in preparing for the RPRP application process in 2015 information sessions will occur at each campus in May 2015 and will outline the stages of the RPRP process and an overview of the changed RPRP pro-forma.

Sessions will be available for academic supervisors and staff as follows:
